Ever the innovators, Tourism Fiji has pinpointed an industry with so much potential for Fiji that it’s a wonder that it hasn’t taken off already.

Glamourous camping, or glamping as it’s known colloquially the world over, is the traditional idea of a tent and a campfire but with a touch of luxury.

Tourism Fiji may be the brains behind the project, but they need a team. Kicking this off the ground will take collaboration.

“We are currently in the initiation stage of this project, actively seeking interested parties who share our vision,” Tourism Fiji chief operations officer Leigh Howard said.

“Our goal is to collaborate with passionate individuals and businesses to ensure that glamping becomes a remarkable facet of Fiji’s tourism landscape.”

According to a Tourism Fiji spokesperson, the organisation has already initiated collaborative partnerships with international industry leaders such as Eco-Structures, CABN.life, and Wanderlust Glamping, among others, and will link local partners to the most suited industry leaders.

“Our process for selecting visionary operators to collaborate with us is flexible and open. We’re reaching out not only to the tourism industry but to any interested individuals or landowners who want to venture into this new realm.

“The beauty of glamping is that tents and pods can be placed virtually anywhere, as long as the area is safe and accessible.”

Recognising the awe-inspiring beauty of Fiji’s remote areas and highlands, Tourism Fiji is hoping to harness the potential to “merge the raw magnificence of these landscapes with luxurious accommodations”.

“At Tourism Fiji, we value sustainability and the preservation of our natural beauty. The features of our glamping accommodations will reflect this commitment: fully solar-powered facilities, water catchment systems, and a focus on enhancing rather than disrupting the local ecosystem.”

Tourism Fiji is eager to hear from the community – from potential operators, land/ property owners, or construction management teams who have the vision and passion to create unforgettable experiences.

“To potential investors, partners and enthusiasts, our team at Tourism Fiji is ready to collaborate with those who share our drive to craft exceptional experiences. 1. bula tourism fiji,
im pursing this trending business model at the time and it sure does require alot but for me its still worth the investment. As for my opinion on why its worth investing on our piece of mataqali land up in the Highlands of Taveuni, this piece of land has very unique tropical panoramic views of the ocean to the highland mountains it sits on the center view of the meridian line overlooking the somosomo strait passage.
as an intrested pasionate induvidual i want to pursue this trend hw can i take the next step???
